N-Phenylmaleimide [941-69-5] is used as a vulcanization cross-linking agent in natural and synthetic rubber and as a heat modifier in ABS, PVC, PMMA resins and photographic materials to improve the chemicalbook heat resistance, impact resistance, hot melt properties and processability of resins. N-PMI is also used as an intermediate in the manufacture of heat resistant polymers, plant growth promoters and other agrochemicals, and has some antibacterial activity.
